Why We Built This Site
Georgia permits broad public access to many court dockets and case files, yet custody depends on the court. The Clerk of Superior Court keeps felony, domestic, land, equity, and Superior civil records. A separate State Court Clerk keeps misdemeanor, traffic, and State civil matters. Other local clerks maintain Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile, and city dockets. Houston County's Benchmark system searches several county divisions, while the Georgia Courts e-access directory only routes visitors to local providers. This site brings those official paths, contacts, and request steps together.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket references: how Houston County criminal docket searches and civil docket searches differ
- Dates and settings: how to check court dates and confirm a hearing with the responsible clerk
- Case lookups: how to use the local Benchmark routes described in Case Lookup
- Document requests: how to obtain court records, copies, and certifications from the correct office
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Georgia court, clerk of court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot promise that each listed fee, phone number, or setting remains current
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set provider charges or determine which records appear.
